LAS CRUCES – Customer management company Convergys Corporation announced it is hiring for 100 full-time, on-site positions for its contact center in Las Cruces.

Interested candidates are invited to participate in an on-site job fair from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday at the Convergys contact center, 4201 Del Rey Blvd. Local staff and leadership will be available to address questions about these customer service/sales positions, and share their perspectives on the value of employment with Convergys. Candidates may also apply online at convergys.com/careers.

New employees will provide service and sales support to customers of a leading telecommunications company.

“We’re looking for highly motivated individuals who can work from our contact center, providing great customer service and promoting our client’s products and services,” said James Crossland, site leader for the Convergys contact center in Las Cruces. “We are reaching out into our community to fill these openings, because these are not only terrific positions, they are great stepping stones to a career in operations, recruitment, or training.”

Convergys reports it offers “on-site employees comprehensive training, competitive wages and performance incentives, and benefits including tuition reimbursement, medical, dental and 401(k),” according to a release.

Potential candidates should possess strong communication skills, be able to listen attentively to customer needs and concerns, possess strong computer skills, and be comfortable offering new products and services. In addition, candidates should have strong computer/keyboarding skills, a high school diploma or GED, and be able to work 40 hours per week, primarily in the evenings. Employment with Convergys also is contingent on the successful completion of a background check.
