The May meeting of the MVEDA Business in the Borderplex Forum will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM at the Hotel Encanto de Las Cruces, 705 S. Telshor. The meeting will begin with a hot entree buffet and a brief update by MVEDA staff.
Christopher A. Erickson, Ph.D., Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics, Applied Statistics and International Business (EASIB) at New Mexico State University, will be the featured speaker. His presentation is an annual event for MVEDA and is always entertaining and informative.
Dr. Erickson has served on the faculty of the NMSU College of Business since 1987. He is a frequent speaker on financial economics, macroeconomics and the border economy. His primary teaching interest is money and banking. He is the author or co-author of numerous articles on financial economics, including a supplemental money and banking text that has been adopted on more than 100 college campuses. Dr. Erickson also writes a weekly column in the Las Cruces Bulletin.
Advance registration is $20.00 per person, payable by major credit card via the secure portal on the registration form. Payment at the door with cash, check or credit card is $25.00 per person.
