The August meeting of the MVEDA Business in the Borderplex Forum will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM at the Hotel Encanto de Las Cruces, 705 S. Telshor. Kathryn Hansen, Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Arrowhead Center at New Mexico State University, will be the featured speaker. The meeting will begin with a hot entrée buffet and a brief update by MVEDA staff.

The Arrowhead Center was created by New Mexico State University (NMSU) to be an engine for sustainable economic development, ultimately improving the quality of life for all New Mexicans. Arrowhead Center serves as a single portal to link the researchers and entrepreneurs with ideas for how to solve market problems and take advantage of market opportunities that will keep New Mexico on the leading edge of discovery and sustainable economic growth.

The Arrowhead Center manages a 200‐plus acre state‐of‐the‐art Business and Research Park for new technology start‐ups to locate amongst other established businesses driven by the discovery of new knowledge and technologies. It is home to the state’s first early college high school, Arrowhead Park Early College High School, the new Arrowhead Park Medical Academy, and the future home of the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Advance registration is $20.00 per person, payable by major credit card via the secure portal on the registration form. Payment at the door with cash, check or credit card is $25.00 per person.
