On May 19, 2020 the New Mexico Economic Development Department announced Job Training Incentive Program (JTIP) board approval funding for on-the-job training for X2NSAT’s 15 newly created jobs.

JTIP reimburses a portion of employee wages regardless of the location of the training. X2nSAT Inc. is a wireless and satellite communications company that expanded operations to Las Cruces in 2016 having received Local Economic Development Assistance (LEDA) funds of $300,000 from the New Mexico Economic Development Department for the construction of their operations and logistics center.

“We looked at a lot of states before choosing New Mexico, and we couldn’t be any happier about our decision. Not only does New Mexico have a strong workforce – it’s a business-friendly state that can compete with the best of them,” said Garrett Hill, CEO of X2NSAT

The company has for the past several years been hiring employees like network analysts, facility management, and technical support staff. Furthering its Las Cruces expansion X2NSAT is now adding 8 trainees and 7 interns in Las Cruces to continue its operations as a leader in satellite communications technology.

X2nSAT has been successfully operating since 1996 specializing in regulatory requirements for industries such as: utilities, oil and gas, enterprise, healthcare, retail, maritime, and telecommunications. The award amounts to $141,570 with that being an average wage of $25.13 for trainees and $18.14 for interns.

“These incentives we can offer and others are vital right now so businesses can move past this uncertainty and into a period of sustained recovery.”- said Cabinet Secretary Alicia J. Keyes of the Economic Development Department.
